Meet Your Experienced Katy Dental Team
The Dental People wouldn’t be the dental office it is without a passionate, hard-working team to support it. This includes hygienists, dental assistants, and dental office managers that make sure your visit is smooth from the moment you walk in, to the moment you leave. Below are brief descriptions of how our team came to be, so feel free to take a moment to learn about their stories to The Dental People!
Abigail, Assistant Manager
Abigail completed her education at Clarendon Community College. In addition to her managerial experience, she is also a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) and certified in CPR, BLS, and nitrous oxide. She has a particular talent for helping patients overcome their dental anxiety – it’s always so rewarding when they start to LOVE coming to the dentist’s office!
Originally from the Wharton area, Aibgail was raised on a big ranch along with two older sisters, cows, horses, chickens, and several dogs. When she isn’t busy at the dental office, her favorite hobbies include going to the beach, painting, doing crafts, and getting lost in a good book. She’s also traveled through at least 10 different states and hiked on four mountains in Colorado that are over 14,000 feet tall.
Stephanie, Assistant Manager
Originally from New York, Stephanie completed her studies in both New York and Boston before making her way to Texas. Today, she has completed her certifications in CPR, infection control, and radiology, and she loves using her extensive experience to give our patients the amazing care they deserve. In fact, that is one of her favorite parts of her job!
When she isn’t at the dental office, you’ll most likely find Stephanie spending time with her big, loving family of seven, which includes two children, two dogs, and a cat! She also enjoys going to the beach and trying new foods.
Daysy, Front Desk
Born in Tamaulipas, Mexico, Daysy was raised in Houston from the age of one. Today, she is very proud to be a member of The Dental People and loves seeing the patients’ levels of confidence increase throughout their visits!
Outside of work, Daysy comes from a small family that includes a younger brother and loving parents. She is currently attending Lone Star College for her education and plans on transferring to the University of Houston soon to study architecture.
Kim, Dental Hygienist
Kim majored in biology at the University of Houston Downtown before studying dentistry at Coastal Bend College in Beeville. Today, she loves educating and helping patients improve their overall oral health here at The Dental People.
Kim is originally from Vietnam, moving to Kansas when she was 18 and eventually to the Katy area. She has two younger sisters who are currently studying in Austin. Besides spending quality time with family, her favorite hobbies include traveling, learning about different cultures, and doing outdoor activities like mountain hiking and rock climbing.
Kate, Registered Dental Assistant
After attending the University of San Jose-Recoletos in Cebu City, Philippines, Kate completed her dental education at Houston Dental Assisting School. She is also certified in CPR and BLS. Today, she loves working closely with Dr. Siu and the other specialists here at The Dental People, as well as seeing all of the wonderful smiles that their team has created in this community!
Kate is originally from Hong Kong. She went to the Philippines to study and met her high school sweetheart there before returning to Hong Kong to get married. Today, they’re happily living in the Katy neighborhood! Her personal interests include singing, baking, and traveling. She also amazingly speaks five different languages: Mandarin, Cantonese, 2 different Filipino dialects, and English.
Uriel, Registered Dental Assistant
Uriel hails from Huatulco, Mexico originally. He finds it extremely rewarding to be a part of such a wonderful team that truly cares about each patient in need. Seeing people enjoy their best smile is his true passion, and giving them back their confidence is always an enormously rewarding experience.
When he isn’t busy at the dental office, Uriel enjoys volunteering in her local community at every possible opportunity. He’s also a very outdoorsy person and regularly goes fishing, camping, rock climbing, and paddle boarding. He speaks Spanish, knows American Sign Language, and is currently learning French!
