Invest in Your Oral Health with MetLife

Your toothbrush and floss are your first line of defense to ward off common dental issues, like tooth decay and gum disease. Although they are effective, your smile requires more care, which is why the American Dental Association recommends everyone visits their dentist at least twice a year for a cleaning and checkup. Unfortunately, many people avoid seeing their dentist because they worry about a large bill, but you have nothing to fear because you have dental insurance. As your MetLife dentist, our office will reduce the amount you need to pay to invest in a healthy smile.

MetLife Dental Insurance Coverage Availability & Fees

More Americans than ever have dental insurance; however, less than 3% reach their annual limits. Many people don’t use their coverage because they aren’t sure how it works, so they often believe they still can’t afford to visit their dentist.

MetLife provides you with discounted rates to see your dentist regularly to save money down the road. Research shows every $1 spent on routine dental care can save $50 on restorative and emergency services. It gives you the perfect cost-savings opportunity to keep your teeth and gums healthy. Although every policy differs, most plans include:

  • 100% preventive dental care.
  • 80% minor restorative dental care.
  • 50% major restorative dental care.

Every month you pay a premium for your policy, which allows you to see your dentist 1-2 times per year for cleanings and checkups. This prevents issues from occurring in the first place to reduce the need for a costly treatment in the future. Even with the best prevention, a problem can develop. It can be treated quickly for minimal out-of-pocket cost.

After paying your annual deductible, MetLife will pay a portion of the fee until you reach your yearly limit. If there’s a remaining balance, we will help you find the solutions you need to keep your treatment affordable, even if we must split it across calendar years.

MetLife recommends you visit a dentist who is in your network to make the most of your benefits, but you can choose any location that accepts your coverage. Our office works with both in-network and out-of-network patients to keep our treatments affordable.
